1. Make sure the door is in the closed position when you adjust the tension.

2. You cannot make them self-opening by adjusting the tension to be negative.

3. Always rotate the tension adjustment rod or hex wrench to the left regardless of right-hand or left-hand door application. And after final adjustment, drive the pin flush with the hinge barrel.
